What data we collect
We process only data that you actively provide to us or that is technically necessary to provide the website.
- Contact form: name, e-mail address, selected subject and your message.
- Advisory request from the calculator tool: name, e-mail address, optional telephone number, as well as the calculation values you entered (gross salary, workload percentage, year/month of birth, planned reduction steps) and the resulting calculated outcome.
- Technical metadata relating to a submission: IP address, browser identifier (user agent) and the referring page (referrer) — to prevent misuse.
- Server logs: access is logged technically to ensure secure operation.
Calculator tool and local storage
The calculator tool stores your entries exclusively locally in your browser (localStorage, key vrm-calc-a), so that you can continue a calculation. This data does not leave your device and is not transmitted to us — unless you explicitly submit a request via the advisory form. You can delete the locally stored data at any time by clearing this website's browser storage.
Purpose and legal basis
We process your data exclusively to respond to your enquiry, to provide advice on the early-retirement model, and to fulfil the foundation's statutory and regulatory duties. Processing is carried out in good faith and proportionately within the meaning of Art. 6 revDSG. Where necessary, we rely on your consent (advisory request), the legitimate interest in secure website operation, or the fulfilment of statutory obligations.
Retention and deletion
We retain your data only for as long as necessary for the respective purpose or as required by statutory retention obligations.
- Contact and advisory requests: generally up to 24 months after final processing, then deleted.
- Technical metadata and server logs: short-term, usually within a few weeks.
- Data subject to statutory retention obligations is retained until the respective period expires and is then deleted.
Disclosure to third parties
Your data is disclosed only where necessary to process your enquiry (in particular to VRM Services AG as processor in Switzerland) or where a statutory obligation applies. An e-mail service provider may be used to send notification e-mails; in this case, the data is processed exclusively under contract and with contractual safeguards. We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising.
No analytics or tracking services
This website uses no analytics, tracking or advertising services and sets no cookies for marketing purposes. No profiles are created and no data is transmitted to third parties for advertising purposes. Only technically necessary functions (e.g. the local storage of the calculator tool) are used.
Your rights
Under the applicable data protection law, you have in particular the following rights:
- Information on whether and what data we process about you.
- Correction of inaccurate data.
- Deletion of your data, provided no statutory retention obligation applies.
- Restriction of, or objection to, a specific processing activity, and revocation of consent given, with effect for the future.
- Disclosure or transfer of your data in a common format.
Contact and right to lodge a complaint
To exercise your rights or if you have questions about data protection, you can reach us at hallo@vrm-gebaeudetechnik.ch or +41 44 388 11 00. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) in Bern.
Changes to this policy
We update this privacy policy whenever the processing of your data or the legal framework changes. The version published on this page at any given time is authoritative.
Video embedding (Vimeo)
On individual pages we embed videos from the provider Vimeo (Vimeo.com, Inc., 330 West 34th Street, New York, NY 10001, USA).
For this we use a privacy-friendly «click-to-load» solution: when a page is loaded, no connection to Vimeo is established. Initially, only a preview image from our own server is displayed. Only when you actively click «Play video» is the video loaded from Vimeo. By clicking, you consent to a connection being established with Vimeo, during which data — in particular your IP address — is transmitted to Vimeo. These servers may be located in the USA.
The videos are played in «Do Not Track» mode (dnt=1). As a result, Vimeo does not record your viewing behaviour for analytics and marketing purposes and does not set corresponding tracking cookies. No cookies are set by Vimeo before you click.
The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR for visitors from the EU; otherwise the Swiss revDSG). You can withdraw your consent at any time by not playing the video or by reloading the page.
